I let the girls at Alannah Hill dress me up like this. I don't know if it's necessarily an outfit I would have picked for myself, but when I tried it on, it did look cute. (I wondered if there was maybe too much going on with this outfit, but at Alannah, nothing is ever too much!)
I am trying to experiment a bit more with my fashion choices lately. I never used to wear belts, but I've bought a few recently and I'm finding ways to incorporate them into my outfits. I think I'll try scarves next. Somehow I've never really worked out how to wear them properly; I guess they're not all that important here in the hot Australian weather. A friend of my workmate often comes to visit us at work, and she always wears all black with a coloured scarf. It's an interesting look, and I think I'll try it sometime (with some colourful shoes, perhaps).
Today's shoes are red velvet heels from Collection, which I think is a Myer (department store) brand. They were available in navy blue velvet too, and it probably would have been more practical to get the blue pair, but I just couldn't resist the red ones!
I like your outfit - another beautiful dress! I must say I love your dresses just as much as your shoes.
ReplyDeleteHi to Nemo!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfits! And I was so surprised to see you're a lawyer, you defy the stereotype in a fabulous way. I want to be a lawyer myself too after university so I'm glad to see that you can still dress creatively.
ReplyDeleteThanks, shoeloving! I'm really enjoying dressing up for the shoe challenge.
ReplyDeleteMother in Heels, Nemo says hi back! (Actually he probably would be hiding if anyone unfamiliar spoke to him, but he is a very friendly kitty once he gets to know someone!)
Thanks so much, Molly! I think that as long as you're dressing tastefully and appropriately for work, there's nothing wrong with having your own style :)
From one cat lady to another... you're cat is so adorable. Holy crap.
